Aloe combine rosettes of fleshy leaves, toothed edges and varied textures with tubular flowers that bring colour to a collection.
Aloe are succulents with fleshy, usually elongated leaves arranged in more or less open rosettes. Many species have small teeth along the edges, spots or raised markings that give their foliage a distinctive texture.
The genus includes compact plants suited to pots as well as larger species. In favourable conditions, many Aloe produce flower stalks bearing tubular blooms in warm colours, contrasting with their green or bluish leaves.
