Echeveria ‘Romeo Rubin’ Variegata: Fire Diamond
Echeveria ‘Romeo Rubin’ Variegata is a breathtaking succulent that has been generated from a mutation from our seedbed, combining the intense blood color of ‘Romeo Rubin’ with a spectacular variegated mutation.
Details that make it unique:
Contrast of Rubies and Gold: Unlike any other, it displays deep, brilliant red-purple leaves, interrupted by variegated strokes and stripes that vary between cream and pale pink.
Natural Varnish Shine: Its fleshy leaves have a naturally waxy and shiny finish, with almost no bloom, which makes the plant look like it has been carved from polished precious stones.
Flame Geometry: The leaves are wide at the base and end in sharp points, arranging themselves in a compact rosette that resembles a lotus flower on fire.
Care:
‘Romeo Rubin’ Variegata is a high-value, slow-growing cultivar that requires a controlled environment to maintain its health and vibrant colors.
Watering: Follow the rule for succulents strictly: water only when the soil is completely dry. It is more sensitive to excess humidity than ordinary Echeverias; the use of pots with excellent drainage is a must.
☀️ Lighting: Prefers high-intensity filtered direct sunlight. Bright light is essential to maintain the “blood” red color, but direct midday sun in very hot climates should be avoided so as not to burn the sensitive variegated areas.
Soil: Use a substrate with impeccable drainage, composed of a high percentage of mineral materials (such as perlite or pumice) to prevent any water retention in the roots.
❄️ Temperature: Protect it from frost and extreme temperatures. Ensure constant ventilation around the plant, which is the biggest secret to successfully growing this rarity.
