Sempervivum arachnoideum is a small perennial succulent that grows in very tight rosettes, forming mats up to 30 cm (or more) in diameter, often grown in rock gardens.
It is a very variable species.
There is even a dwarf form and a crested form, all of which hybridize easily into new varieties. See our comparison of the size of pots we usually use and tips for caring for succulents and cacti here !
