Monanthes polyphylla (so called because it has only one flower at a time) is an ornamental succulent, which can be up to 12 cm tall, with tiny rosettes of many leaves, forming soft, shiny, dense clusters which in June have numerous small purplish flowers like parasols.
It was the first known of the Monanthes genus, and is still the most attractive in that genus. See our comparison of the size of pots we usually use and tips for caring for succulents and cacti here !
