Lithops is a genus of succulent plant in the Aizoaceae family.
Members of the genus are native to South Africa.
The name derives from the ancient Greek words λίθος (lithos), meaning “stone” and ὄψ (ops), meaning “face”, referring to the plants’ stone-like appearance. These succulents avoid being eaten by blending in with the surrounding rocks and are often known as stone plants or living stones. The mix varies according to the species being grown, see product photos, pot sent with at least 6 feet.
