Haworthia veneosa ssp.
tessellata is a very variable plant and in the past there were a large number of names (at least 15 varieties), but all these varieties have gradually merged with each other and it is almost impossible to separate them, now they are all synonyms of Haworthia veneosa.
As a curiosity, the genus Haworthiopsis means “like Haworthia”, which pays homage to the British botanist Adrian Hardy Haworth (1767-1833), while the species tessellata means “square pattern”. See our comparison of the size of pots we usually use and tips for caring for succulents and cacti here !
