Echeveria ‘Blueberry’ – Lilac Delicacy

Echeveria Blueberry is a hybrid succulent of Korean origin, much appreciated for its soft beauty and unique colors. It forms a compact, symmetrical rosette with fleshy, densely clustered and slightly pointed leaves.

Its great charm lies in its coloring: the leaves have fascinating shades that vary between pale sky blue, lilac and touches of pink, especially intense on the edges and tips, reminiscent of the color of a blueberry. The colors become more intense and vibrant when the plant is exposed to optimum light and cooler temperatures.

It’s a small to medium-sized Echeveria (reaching around 10-12 cm in diameter), perfect for decorating small spaces, making eye-catching arrangements or being the highlight of your collectibles shelf.

Growing Tips (Care)

To keep your Echeveria ‘Blueberry’ with vibrant color and healthy growth:

• ☀️ Illumination (Light): It requires a lot of light to maintain its compact shape and lilac tones. The ideal is direct morning sunlight or very strong indirect sunlight for most of the day. Intense sun exposure and colder temperatures (controlled water and heat stress) accentuate the pinkish/lilac pigmentation.
  • Note: In intense summer, protect from direct midday sun to avoid burns.
• Watering: Water sparingly, only when the substrate is completely dry (approximately every 10 days, adjusting according to the season and climate). Excess water can cause rotting.
• Substrate: Use a well-drained mixture specifically for cacti and succulents, rich in porous materials (such as perlite, coarse sand or pumice). The substrate must not retain moisture.
• Temperature: Prefers mild to warm temperatures (between 12°C and 28°C). It should be protected from frost and extreme cold, as it does not tolerate these conditions well.
